Ashley Dance Academy is run by Lucie Ashley and Charlie Ashley-Burnett, a sister team of ballet teachers who have danced since they were young girls. Both highly trained and experienced and incredibly passionate about dance, they have joined forces to create a dance school that provides the best of dance education to both children and adults. 

 

ADA provide Royal Academy of Dance syllabus ballet classes in a friendly and professional environment. Students can attend a weekly class with the option to work towards RAD Examinations, which are encouraged, but not compulsory. Fun movement classes are available for Pre-Schoolers; building confidence, coordination and introducing very young children to the wonderful world of ballet.  

 

We also hold ISTD syllabus Modern and Tap classes for ages 5 and above and Contemporary Dance for students over 6 years. These are a wonderful contrast to our Ballet lessons and place emphasis on the joy of movement as well as learning strong dance technique. These inspiring classes taught by experienced teachers and professional dancers, really aim to develop performance skills and personality.

Adult Ballet, Tap and Contemporary are excellent for toning, strength and stamina and both classes welcome beginners as well as more experienced dancers.

Lucie and Charlie are delighted to offer children at ADA the experience of working with a variety of different teachers and the school provide a variety of inspiring workshops throughout the year as well as a show for the whole school every two years. 

 

All teachers and staff members are qualified, highly experienced and hold enhanced DBS checks, first aid training and safe guarding training.
