A professional ballet dancer of Canadian-Indian heritage, Tara has been based in the UK for 20 years, performing as a First Artist with the Royal Ballet both at their historic home in Covent Garden and in many of the most famous theatres around the World. She has danced in over 2000 performances with the Royal Ballet including a number of principal roles.
During this time, Tara graduated with honours from the Royal Ballet School’s Professional Dancers' Teaching Course, gaining the Dip RBS (PDTC), and with Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (AISTD).
Renowned for her love of the art form and her knowledge of the classical technique, Tara is a popular teacher amongst both newcomers and seasoned dancers. She is often invited to teach at vocational schools, masterclasses, and present at dance seminars at home and abroad. Most recently Tara worked with the ADA students in the run up the the show creating a 'Swan Lake' piece for dancers aged 6-17years.
